Lisa Moody

“It taught me the value of being a positive role model, staying flexible, and advocating for others.”

The most rewarding part of this experience was seeing the development of the mentee. Lisa entered into mentoring expecting to share her experiences; however, what she did not anticipate was the impact of the mentoring program.

“It was an honour to mentor Mrs. Soraya Cantero. While I enjoyed sharing my personal career experiences and offering professional advice; the most rewarding and fulfilling part of the program was seeing the development and achievement of the mentor’s personal goals.

From the initial meeting, there were open and thoughtful discussions, and collaboration while working towards achieving the mentor’s professional goals.

What surprised me most about the mentoring program was how impactful this experience was for both me and the mentee. It became a two-way journey where we both had one common goal…what is best for the mentee.

Mentoring has taught me the value of being a positive role model, staying flexible, and actively advocating for others.

Reflecting on my own career, one thing which stands out is how vital cross-functional relationships are, not only for personal growth, but for the success within an organisation. This reflection was highlighted throughout the mentoring sessions and is something I value on a daily basis.”
